Mathematics encompasses understanding reasoning processes, application of mathematics, and strategies for problem-solving. Language Arts includes writing, speaking, listening, and literature reading. Humanities integrates history and geography. Science develops the understanding of the scientific approach to problem-solving. Arts encourages identification of creative abilities and mastery of appropriate techniques. Foreign Language focuses on the ability to speak and comprehend in either French or Spanish. Physical education involves physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development of a healthy lifestyle. Technology includes technical literacy and communication. |

| Description | King High School is an urban school in Hillsborough County serving magnet students who live east of Nebraska Avenue. The Class of 2007 contained 21 National Merit Finalists, 6 National Achievement Finalists, and 3 National Hispanic Finalists. In addition, the Class of 2007 was offered $10,260,684 in scholarships. Also, the Class of 2008 contains the most National Achievement Semifinalists (5) in the state. |

Ft. Myers High is a comprehensive 9-12 in southwest Florida. It is approximately 120 miles from Tampa on the west coast of Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. Ft. Myers is a town of 50,000 in a county of 450,000 residents. The school district has 15,500 high school students in its 9 high schools. Students take both AP nd IB exams, and have a 98% acceptance rate into Florida colleges, and a 83% total college acceptance rate. |

| Description | Southeast High School, located in eastern Manatee County, is a culturally diverse, spirited center for learning. As one of the most established schools in Manatee County, Southeast High enjoys a rich history of academic and athletic excellence. The forty-three acres of property supports a campus with a state of the art 2400 seat gymnasium, 680 seat auditorium and multiple classroom buildings networked together by over 700 computers.
